PHOENIX - Western Alliance Bank, one of the country's top-performing banking companies, announced today that Heather Magic, a 30-year finance and operations veteran, has joined the organization as Senior Vice President of its Settlement Services national specialty group.

Magic brings decades of implementing best practices, process improvements and technological efficiencies. At Western Alliance Bank, she will contribute to the Settlement Services group's customer service platform and solutions and collaborate with company leadership on key initiatives. Magic will be based in Denver and serve clients nationally.

Western Alliance Bank’s Settlement Services group offers specialized banking for law firms, claims administrators and related businesses managing class action, mass tort and bankruptcy settlements. The team brings clients years of industry expertise supporting all phases of the settlement process, from escrow through distribution with a single point of contact.

"Helping claimants receive the money they deserve is incredibly rewarding, and I look forward to continuing that work with Western Alliance Bank's Settlement Services group," Magic said. "After the past several years at a startup, I have an entrepreneurial spirit that aligns with the nimbleness and commitment to client service of Western Alliance Bank. I'm excited to work with the team to help build upon its stellar reputation and focus on holistic services that make clients thrilled to work with us."

Magic was previously vice president of Qualified Settlement Funds (QSF) and Project Management at ARCHER Systems, LLC., where she managed over $3 billion in QSF in collaboration with internal teams, claims administrators, law firms, and external banking partners. Before that, she served as vice president of operations at Providio Medisolutions, a leading qualified settlement fund administration and lien resolution startup that ARCHER purchased in 2019.

"After working with banks across the country, Heather has a deep understanding of what clients are looking for in a banking partner," said Francesca Castagnola, senior managing director of Western Alliance Bank's Settlement Services group. "Her addition to our team will strengthen our existing relationships and help us build new ones across the industry."

Active in her local community, Magic is a current volunteer for the Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce, an organization for which she has served in multiple officer roles, including board chairman. Since 2016, she has been a member of the International Association of Women and previously served on the board of directors at Kids in Need of Dentistry (KIND) and Safehouse Denver.

Magic earned a B.S. in Management from Franklin Pierce University.
