Western Alliance Bank Hires Global Markets Banking Professional James Barron as Senior Foreign Exchange Sales Advisor
PHOENIX — Western Alliance Bank’s Global Markets Group today announced the hiring of James Barron as senior foreign exchange sales advisor. Based in Boston, Barron will focus on expanding the East Coast presence of the banks’s Global Markets Group, formerly International Banking.
In his new role, Barron works closely with relationship managers and other internal partners to identify foreign exchange opportunities and advise the bank’s clients on managing and hedging their foreign exchange exposure.

Barron joins Western Alliance Bank after spending 35 years in global markets banking with State Street Corporation, The Huntington National Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland/Citizens Bank and Fleet National Bank/BankBoston.
Barron has extensive experience in global affairs, having lived, worked and traveled throughout Latin America, Europe and Asia. He is an active member of the community, serving in many capacities, including as a board member for the Central Catholic Schools Board for the Diocese of Fall River, Massachusetts, and as founder and treasurer of Education Partners Nigeria, which works to meet schoolchildren’s needs in rural Nigeria.
