William R. (Bill) Oakley

William R. (Bill) Oakley is senior managing director, commercial real estate, for Western Alliance Bank, where he leads the mid-market commercial real estate team. With clients throughout Arizona, California and Nevada, he serves residential builders, as well as commercial real estate investors and developers, offering new construction financing, bridge loans for acquisition and rehabilitation of older properties and term loans secured by commercial properties. His team manages a $2 billion complex portfolio.

Mr. Oakley has more than 35 years of banking experience. Prior to joining Western Alliance Bank in 2013, he served as vice president for City National Bank and held regional president positions with Mutual of Omaha Bank and First National Bank of Nevada.

In Las Vegas, Mr. Oakley served on the Opportunity Village Foundation board of directors for 20 years. Throughout his tenure, he held officer positions and served on the executive, finance and investment, audit, legacy society, and board development committees. The nonprofit provides a range of services for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

Mr. Oakley graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Finance.  He is an avid competitor in United States Tennis Association league play.
