Vishal Idnani is Chief Financial Officer of Western Alliance Bancorporation (NYSE: WAL), a leading U.S. commercial bank. In this role, he oversees the company’s financial strategy and operations, including Strategy, Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasury, Investor Relations, Accounting and Tax.
Mr. Idnani joined Western Alliance Bancorporation in October 2025 and assumed the role of Chief Financial Officer in January 2026.
Prior to joining Western Alliance, he spent two decades at J.P. Morgan, where he most recently served as a Managing Director in the Financial Institutions Group. During his tenure, he served as a trusted advisor to more than 50 regional banking organizations, including Western Alliance, working closely with executive management teams and boards of directors on strategic and financial matters, capital management, regulatory considerations and transaction execution.
Mr. Idnani holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he graduated from the Kenan-Flagler Business School.
