Shawn serves as vice president, portfolio management supervisor for the Association Banking group at Western Alliance Bank. He oversees the entire community association lending process, from initial underwriting to closing, as well as the organization’s existing loan portfolio. His role helps ensure a responsive, customer-focused experience for clients.
Mr. Kerns has extensive banking industry experience, having served in multiple credit management and leadership roles.
Prior to relocating to Arizona, Shawn served on the Board of Directors for United Way of Rapid City, and volunteered countless hours to benefit youth sports in the community.
Mr. Kerns is a South Dakota native and graduate of South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, the Stonier ABA Graduate School of Banking and possesses a leadership certificate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
