Sarah Guindy is senior director of the Juris Banking Group at Western Alliance Bank, where she leads a team serving attorneys, law firms, legal nonprofit organizations and others in the legal community throughout Southern Nevada. She joined Western Alliance Bank in 2004.
For more than 22 years, Ms. Guindy has built her practice around understanding the legal industry’s specific banking needs and serving clients throughout their firms’ growth trajectory. Clients turn to her for direct, highly accessible banking services and specialized financing expertise for law firms, with expertise in cash management and growth and capital retention strategies. She and her team stay informed about legal industry developments and tools to provide specific, customized lending and treasury management solutions and trusted advice for legal professionals through one coordinated banking relationship.
Ms. Guindy is a longtime advocate for the legal community and people in need of affordable legal services. She helped establish Western Alliance Bank as the inaugural partner for the State Bar of Nevada’s Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program, which offers interest-bearing accounts to clients in the legal sector and helps reinvest that interest in legal nonprofits. Her role as a board member of the State Bar of Nevada’s Access to Justice Commission has solidified her commitment to IOLTA by connecting her directly with the nonprofits that benefit from these funds.
A committed supporter of nonprofit causes, Ms. Guindy currently serves as a board member of the Grant a Gift Autism Foundation and the Southern Nevada Senior Law Program, which provides legal services at no cost to seniors aged 60 and older. Previously, she served for a decade as a board member and board chair of Opportunity Village, which helps provide meaningful opportunities for adults with Down syndrome and other intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Ms. Guindy earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of California, Berkeley.
