Managing Director Association Lending

Ron Johnson is managing director, association lending for Western Alliance Bank’s Association Banking group. In this role, he leads the group’s lending strategy and oversees a team of underwriters and loan officers who help community associations finance common-area repairs, capital improvements and replacement projects.

Mr. Johnson brings more than 25 years of banking and leadership experience to the role. Prior to joining Western Alliance, he spent more than two decades at Wells Fargo, holding leadership positions spanning commercial banking, middle market banking, branch banking, sales development and consumer finance across California, Oregon and Arizona. Most recently he served as Executive Director and Commercial Banking Leader, overseeing emerging middle market relationships across Northern California and the Pacific Northwest.

Mr. Johnson serves on the University of La Verne President’s Advisory Council and has held several nonprofit board positions over the course of his career.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of La Verne, a graduate-level certificate in bank management from Pacific Coast Banking School and an MBA from the University of Southern California. He resides in the Phoenix area with his family.
