Noriko Oakland is a senior vice president and senior relationship manager with Western Alliance Bank’s Private Client Group, which delivers concierge banking and mortgage solutions designed to meet the complex needs of clients and their trusted advisors. Ms. Oakland joined Western Alliance Bank’s legacy brand, Torrey Pines Bank, in 2008, and brings more than 35 years of experience in commercial and private client banking.

Based in the bank’s Downtown Los Angeles office, Ms. Oakland is known for her relationship-driven approach to serving clients with both domestic and international banking needs. She delivers tailored credit and liquidity solutions with responsiveness, creativity and personalized attention.

Her expertise includes business and commercial real estate financing, international banking and treasury management solutions, as well as guidance through acquisitions, generational transitions and liquidity events. Before joining Western Alliance, she served in senior relationship leadership roles at California Bank & Trust and Union Bank of California.

Ms. Oakland is bilingual in English and Japanese. She is a member of the Japan Business Association of Southern California and a former board member of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce of Southern California. Outside of the office, she enjoys hiking, tai chi (including sword form), and the culinary and visual arts.

Ms. Oakland earned a Bachelor of Arts in Language Studies from Kyoto Sangyo University and an MBA in Finance from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School. She has been recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of L.A. County’s Most Influential Lenders in 2016 and 2018.
