Matt Griesbach joined the Western Alliance Bank team in 2023 as the Commercial and Industrial Industry Executive for Aerospace & Defense. With more than 25 years of progressive experience in corporate and commercial banking, he brings deep expertise to his role.
At Western Alliance Bank, Mr. Griesbach is responsible for managing a team of bankers focused on advising companies in the Aerospace, Defense and Government Services sector throughout the US. He has a wealth of knowledge in the aerospace industry, having previously held leadership roles in Aerospace & Defense Corporate and Commercial Banking at City National Bank and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Prior to these positions Mr. Griesbach held various roles at General Electric Company and Bank of America.
Mr. Griesbach holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Science from the University of Notre Dame where he played football as a walk-on offensive lineman under legendary coach Lou Holtz. Outside of his professional role, he has served as a dedicated board member for the San Diego Military Advisory Council, the President of the Notre Dame Alumni Club of San Diego, a member of the Steering Committee for the Aerospace & Defense Forum, a board member of San Diego’s Cyber Center of Excellence, a volunteer for LEAD San Diego (2015 graduate) and as a coach for various youth football leagues throughout the area.
