Kate Hickman has been a banker with Western Alliance Bank (WAL), since shortly after the institution first opened its doors in 2003. Currently she serves as Managing Director of Commercial Banking.
Kate is well known and respected in the metro Phoenix business community. She was named by Arizona Business Magazine as one of the 2016 Most Influential Women in Arizona Business. The Phoenix Business Journal named her a member of the 40 Under 40 Class of 2016 and in 2017 named her an Outstanding Women in Business. In 2017 she was also named by InBusiness Magazine as a Woman of Achievement.
Personally, she is heavily engaged in community giving. Kate is also involved as a board member with Education Forward Arizona, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Arizona and Prisma Community Care. She previously sat on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona, Friends of Public Radio Arizona, Support My Club, the Greater Phoenix Chamber, the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Ryan House, where she served as vice chair. She is also a former member of the Arizona Technology Council, National Charity League and the Hon Kachina Council. She co-chaired the 2014 Hon Kachina Awards annual ceremony and was an ambassador for the TGen Foundation.
Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of Alabama and a minor in history. She lives in Phoenix with her husband and their four children.
