James Thomas joined Western Alliance Bank in 2023, bringing two decades of financial services experience to his role as head of treasury management.

In his position, Mr. Thomas leads a team of treasury management advisors, empowering clients with tailored solutions to meet their unique financial needs in treasury and cash management. Before joining Western Alliance Bank, Mr. Thomas served as head of treasury management at Credit Union 1, where he successfully led the development and growth of the institution’s cash management offerings. He previously held various leadership roles at Wells Fargo for more than 15 years, most recently as vice president in the treasury management division.

Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Finance degree from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad College of Business, where he graduated with honors. Outside of his professional role, Mr. Thomas dedicates time to giving back to the community through his involvement with the Las Vegas Boys and Girls Club, Operation School Bell and various community sports teams.
