How to Prepare

To make this transition as smooth as possible, here are some things you can do to prepare for the new Digital Banking platform:

  • Update your phone number and email information within Personal Online Banking to ensure you receive communications from Western Alliance. 
  • Keep an eye out for additional communications via email and Personal Online Banking for detailed information including timing of system outages during the transition.

Reminder About Security

  • Please remember fraudsters may impersonate bank representatives to trick you into revealing sensitive information. Western Alliance Bank will never ask for your online banking credentials or send you a link to help you resolve a problem. Always verify the source independently before taking any action. 
  • Keep in mind your password will be changing with the new Digital Banking. You will be prompted to create a new password the first time you log in to the Digital Banking platform. Once you have successfully logged in, you can update your password by clicking “settings,” then “update password” on desktop or mobile.

Frequently Asked Questions

    You can keep using Personal Online Banking1 now as you normally do. We’re upgrading to a brand-new banking experience this Fall! During the upgrade, online and mobile banking2 will be temporarily inaccessible. Scheduled transactions will still be processed. You can still manage your money through our branches and customer support team, which will be available during normal business hours:

    Online and mobile banking will be more seamless than ever, including fast money movement with Zelle®, simple internal transfers, electronic statements via mobile banking, enhanced security features, secure messaging capabilities and more.

    Keep an eye on your messages from Western Alliance Bank for further details on the upgrade. Log in to Personal Online Banking and ensure your contact information is up to date as we will use that information for Digital Banking.

    We also recommend updating your internet browser to a recent version (the last two released updates) of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari, or the latest version of Microsoft Edge.

    If you no longer have access to the phone number on your account and are unable to complete the authentication process, please contact our Client Care team at (888) 271-0610. Our team is available Monday – Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT, and Saturday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. PT.

    You’ll continue to access your accounts through the Western Alliance Bank website. Select Digital Banking – Personal from the drop-down menu to log in. After the upgrade, the Personal Online Banking option will be removed and replaced with the new Digital Banking option.

    Due to the enhanced security of your new Digital Banking experience, you will be prompted to reset your password the first time you log in to the new Digital Banking platform. Your username will not change.

    Yes! This fall, you’ll be able to download WA Digital Banking, our new mobile banking app for personal banking, from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The new app will replace the WA Personal Mobile app, providing an enhanced banking experience. If you also use WA Business Mobile to manage business accounts, you can continue using that app as you do today, as it is not changing as part of this upgrade.

    Yes, you will have access to the same transaction information, including history, scheduled and recurring transactions. You do not need to make any changes after the upgrade. However, you may review your scheduled transactions to confirm after the upgrade. 

    Great news! You don’t need to make any changes to existing Bill Pay payments or Zelle® transfers. All existing Bill Pay and Zelle® information, including payees, recipients, scheduled payments and recurring payments, will transfer to the new Digital Banking platform. If you have not yet enrolled in Bill Pay or Zelle®, you can still do so after the upgrade.

    You will be prompted to create a new password the first time you log in to the new Digital Banking platform. Once you have successfully logged in, you can update your password by clicking “settings,” then “update password” on desktop or mobile. If you are unable to remember your password, you can also update it by clicking “forgot password” on the login screen.

    This upgrade only impacts Personal Online Banking and Personal Accounts at this time. If you use a Western Alliance Business Account or High-Yield Savings Account (HYSA), your banking experience will remain unchanged at this time.

    1. Fees may be imposed for additional services related to online banking. Refer to Personal Online Banking Setup and Authorization for more information. Enrollment in eStatements, Zelle®, or Bill Pay require additional terms and conditions.
    2. Western Alliance Bank Personal and Business Mobile Banking apps are available to all online banking customers. Features may vary based on device type. No additional fee to download the app; use of some features may incur additional charges. Mobile carrier message and data rates may apply.

    * To send or receive money with Zelle®, both parties must have an eligible checking or savings account. Transactions between enrolled users typically occur in minutes.
