Robert Cerminaro serves as division CEO of Bank of Nevada and First Independent Bank, divisions of Western Alliance Bank. Mr. Cerminaro has over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry.
A veteran of the banking industry, Robert has served in a variety of senior-level commercial, corporate and investment banking leadership roles at Santander Bank, KeyBank, Citigroup and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Most recently, Robert was managing director and head of mid-corporate banking for Santander Bank leading all strategic efforts including segmentation and national expansion. As a member of the senior operating committee and executive leadership team, Robert was instrumental in executing various marketing, business development, transformation and risk management initiatives as part of the Group’s overall U.S. strategy.
Robert holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Pittsburgh where he was a scholarship athlete, a certificate in finance from the London School of Economics and a master’s degree from St. John’s University.
Prior to his relocation to Las Vegas, Robert resided in Darien, Connecticut with his wife and four children. He is active with several community and national development activities to include the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and Special Olympics, as well as has served on several boards.
