Vice President Portfolio Management


James Trunnell is vice president, portfolio management at Bank of Nevada.

His responsibilities include managing and analyzing a portfolio of loans, as well as handling new loan originations with the help of a talented underwriting and closing team. Most of James' portfolio clients operate within the legal, contractor, nonprofit and retail sectors.

By seeing a deal through from conception to funding, James is privileged to engage with clients and prospects about their goals and see a direct impact on the community he serves.  

Education has always been a high priority for Mr. Trunnell and he always enjoys learning new things. Mr. Trunnell has an associate degree from Dixie State University and a bachelor's and master's degree from Southern Utah University. He has also spent time in Hong Kong and is fluent in the Cantonese dialect.

When not working or spending time with family, James volunteers his time with East Valley Family Services as a board member and treasurer. The nonprofit group supports low-and-moderate-income individuals and families in the valley with such services as job training and parenthood classes.

James’ personal values align closely with those of Bank of Nevada, and family has always been extremely important to him. He currently resides in Henderson with his wife Chelsea, and their three wonderful sons.
