Announcing Bob Curley’s Promotion to Chief Executive Officer for Bridge Bank

October 06, 2022

Bob Curley has been promoted to chief executive officer for Bridge Bank, a division of Western Alliance Bank. The Bank’s previous CEO, Dan Myers, has retired after more than 20 years with Bridge Bank. Myers founded Bridge in 2001 with $20 million in capital and developed a bank that reaches from Northern California to vibrant tech and innovations hubs across the country.

With more than 30 years of experience in technology lending, investment banking, venture equity and debt financing, Curley previously served as executive vice president and chief credit officer for Bridge Bank and deputy chief credit officer for Western Alliance Bank, the parent company of Bridge Bank. With years as a senior executive with Bridge Bank and Western Alliance Bank, as well as his extensive industry background, Curley is well positioned to drive the bank’s forward momentum as a national leader in technology and innovation banking services, backed by highly personalized client service.

“We are pleased that our clients and organization will continue to benefit from Bob Curley’s strong leadership and deep industry knowledge of technology and innovation banking,” said Tim Bruckner, chief banking officer for Western Alliance Bank. “Bob possesses an exceptional background in technology banking and venture capital, along with strong client and industry relationships developed over decades dedicated to this vital sector.”

“I am honored to take on the mantle of leadership of Bridge Bank, the most exciting and innovative organization I have had the privilege of serving,” Curley said. “I join our committed team in remaining dedicated to the success of our clients at all stages in the life cycle, from startup banking through IPO and beyond, and I look forward to continuing our robust growth trajectory.”

Prior to Bridge Bank, Curley was senior credit officer for City National Bank’s technology and innovation portfolio. He previously headed the Corporate Finance Advisory team at Silicon Valley Bank, where he advised clients and executed strategies in acquisition finance, share repurchases, recapitalizations, activist defense and alternative capital options.

His background further includes experience in venture equity and debt financing, investment banking and technology lending, including tenure as a general partner at Pinnacle Ventures, a private venture capital fund focused on providing debt and equity financing to early-stage companies across the information technology, cleantech and health care sectors.

A longtime Northern California resident, Curley received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the University of Notre Dame.
