National Multiple Sclerosis Society raises $150,000 at the 22nd annual MS Golf Invitational

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society in San Diego hosted its 22nd annual MS Golf Invitational on Monday, May 2nd at the La Jolla Country Club. The tournament netted proceeds of $150,000 which will benefit MS research, programs and services for those suffering from MS, an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain and between the brain and body.
Gary Cady, CEO of Torrey Pines Bank was this year’s honorary chairman, who stated, “I am greatly honored to be this year’s Honorary Invitational Chair for the 22nd annual MS Golf Invitational. Torrey Pines Bank is proud to sponsor this important event, and we hope others in our community will increase awareness for this very worthy cause. Through great events such as the MS Golf Invitational, we will continue to take meaningful steps towards freeing the world of this debilitating disease.”
Over 100 golfers took part in the event, donating $750 per player or $3,000 per foursome, which included tee prizes, lunch, beverages on the course, contests and prizes. Following the event, there was a hosted reception and after-golf awards gourmet dinner which included silent and live auctions.
