With more than 30 years of commercial banking experience, Russ Simpkin joined Torrey Pines Bank in 2018 as vice president, commercial banking.
In his role, Russell is responsible for business development as well as the management of a lending and depository portfolio. His primary areas of banking expertise include construction and commercial real estate lending, commercial loans and lines of credit, as well as trade and international finance. Prior to joining the Torrey Pines Bank team, Russell held leadership positions at community, regional and international banks. He is also an active member of the Long Beach Commercial Real Estate Council and is a licensed real estate broker.
Russell graduated from California State University, Northridge, with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate. In addition to commercial training classes in lending, he also attended the Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking and has been a candidate as a chartered financial analyst. Outside of his professional role, Russell is an active board member of the Downtown Los Angeles YMCA.
