Vice President, Business Banking
Tania Violette is vice president, business banking, with First Independent Bank. Based in Reno, she provides financial services and banking products to small- and mid-sized businesses as well as high-net-worth individuals.
Ms. Violette joined the organization in 2005, having developed a passion for the banking industry beginning at age 17 when a part-time job evolved into a career now entering its fourth decade. After roles leading to branch manager, she has worked in lending, treasury management, and launched and managed a private banking business unit.
In the business community, Ms. Violette is a former board chair and board member of Leadership Reno-Sparks, and is also a former board member of the Reno + Sparks Chamber of Commerce. She is also a leader in the nonprofit sector as the founding board member and former president of the Northern Nevada JDRF (type 1 diabetes research funding and advocacy) chapter. Ms. Violette also is the former president of Care Chest of Sierra Nevada, which provides health care resources that close insurance gaps for underserved populations. She is a former board member of the Nevada Women’s Fund.
