Vice President, Commercial Banking
Nate Stehura is a vice president, specializing in commercial real estate (CRE) for First Independent Bank. Specifically, Nate is able to serve clients through his knowledge commercial lending, which includes subdivision development, investor CRE projects, owner-occupied CRE projects and multi-family projects.
Nate’s extensive experience includes commercial & industrial lending, commercial real estate lending and construction lending. Nate has experience in internal loan review, examining the risk of loan portfolios for senior management. Nate has also held management positions in credit administration managing the construction disbursement department, the credit analyst department and calculating the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses (ALLL).
In college, Nate started as a bank teller and now has more than 20 years of experience in banking.
In the community, Nate serves as an Auxiliary Deputy Sheriff with the Washoe County Sheriff Search & Rescue Team, providing a minimum of 200 hours per year.
Nate is a graduate of Miami University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Marketing. He is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin and holds an Executive Leadership Certificate from the University of Wisconsin School of Business.
